“ Me and family nipped in today during a bike ride. As it was a very busy Sunday, you are supposed to book. Despite this, staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and allowed us to order some of their chunky chips. Powered our 10 year old up for the 7 miles home. Much appreciated. Had a lovely lunch and what a great pub. Cheers. ”
“ Beautiful meal on Friday evening. I had the herb crusted cod, the freshest fish I've ever had (and I love my fish) and it was a lovely thick piece cooked to perfection. It was served with asparagus and a variety of fresh vegetables also cooked expertly. The butter sauce was divine! My husband had the lamb curry which had a lot of good sized chunks of lamb in it and again was perfect. Not our first visit, had many tasty meals here, it just gets better and better. Highly, highly recommend this exquisite charming country pub with impressive decor and food to match! ”
“ Fabulous Friday lunch meal . Excellent food ..great service .. ”
“ prebooked a table for high tea 2pm on saturday. the place was quite empty probable due to bad weather. the high tea includes 5 savours (tomato soup, mini fish and chips, mini chicken in BBQ sauce burger, prawn cocktail and alcoholic drink)and 5 sweets (chocolate brownie, cheese cake, tiramisu, scone, pineapple fritter). the high tea was ok. the hunter chicken salad and chip was delicious. The ice cold latte was served in large jar. arrived 1pm on friday, the pub was relatively quiet. the prices of main meals may find a bit dear for some people. we ordered belly pork, moussaka and slow cooked beef. all of them were delicious. they were kindly changed the ice cream to custard for sticky toffee pudding for me. the dessert was good and not over sweeted. ”
“ Just had lunch there and no complaints at all. Friendly greeting. Hot tasty food. Nice decor. Clean and tidy in a relaxing atmosphere. We like everything about the Parish Oven and will definitely have another meal there soon. ”
“ Superb food and great service. Online booking process was easy and fast, we didn’t wait long for our food and the portions were massive. Honestly didn’t have any room for desserts, but the food was so good we ordered them anyway ”
“ We had not been to the Parish Oven for quite a few years as it had gone downhill badly. However, recent reviews made us decide to give it another go and we are so glad we did. The service was excellent. We ordered starters brie, salt n pepper squid, garlic mushrooms and olives - couldn't fault them. The mains 4 sirloins all cooked differently, and they all arrived together, cooked to perfection with hand cut chips and all the trimmings. The Diane sauce was mouthwatering. 2 child desserts (as couldn't manage adult portions) again, lovely and tasty. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend and will certainly be returning. ”
“ Went here on a Wednesday, ordered the parish burger was incredibly tasty just too greasy but enjoyable! Boyfriend ordered the steak and Stilton pie he enjoyed it just a bit salty, overall with a drink each came to 44 bit overpriced for what you get, but still enjoyable 7/10 overall. ”
